POSITION OBJECTIVE : |
To contribute to the banks’s strategic and operational goals by the provision of a fully integrated and effective human resources service. Advising, developing and implementing policies, procedures and practices so as to ensure that the bank is recognised and accredited as an employer of choice and staff as individuals and the business are properly supported and developed. |

| JOB DESCRIPTION :- |
|
| HR Strategy & Systems |
|
• |
Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure productive Employee Relations are consistently maintained, in accordance with legislation and codes of practice. In so doing control staff turnover and absence levels as far as it is possible to do so. |
• |
Develop, recommend and implement HR strategy and policy in support of the bank’s business goals |
• |
Ensure HR administration systems are fit for purpose, maintained appropriately in line with legal and best practice requirements and able to produce Management Information to meet time, accuracy and quality standards at all times. |
• |
Initiate and manage strategic projects designed to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the HR function – People risk, Retention strategy, Succession planning. Making full use of the functionality of the in-house IT systems. |
• |
Lead, motivate, train and manage the HR team and staff in general to ensure business efficiency is ensured and the right level of service and support is provided to the Business |
• |
Propose, negotiate and manage HR budgets in accordance with internal procedures, ensuring best value and quality. |
• |
Research, develop and maintain reward and benefit programmes that are cost effective, competitive and appropriate to the bank to ensure continued attraction and retention of staff. |
• |
Develop strategies to externally build a brand and image that represents our status as an employer of choice and demonstrates adherence to best practice principles. |

| Business HR |
|
• |
Respond to intense and complex interpersonal situations with sensitivity and insight. |
• |
Establish a Business Partner approach to HR providing advice, support and training to the management team in all aspects of HR including compliance to regulatory requirements. |
• |
Develop procedures to determine and benchmark required staffing levels, taking account of technological advances and process improvements, and recommending ways of applying these to improve the effectiveness of the business process and to produce greater productivity |
• |
Propose and implement recruitment campaigns that meet time, quality and budgetary requirements at all times. |
• |
Establish and maintain performance management policies and procedures that ensure appropriate reward of performance and management of under performance. |
• |
Ensure that line management have adequate man and team management skills to manage their team and deal with day to day people issues. |
• |
Act as an internal consultant and change agent to ensure cultural and organisational initiatives are understood and accepted. |

| Learning & Development |
|
• |
Establish, develop and manage manpower and career planning frameworks that meet individual and business objectives. |
• |
Identify individual and organizational training needs and establish and coordinate a realistic and cost effective training plan and budget |
• |
Design, develop and source/deliver training programs that meet quality and budgetary requirements at all times. |
• |
Analyse and identify skills gaps and make recommendations as to whether these should be filled by development and training of existing staff or by strategic and targeted recruitment |
• |
Develop an integrated talent management program to attract best talents and develop future leaders and critical resources for the bank’s growth |
