What is e-Remit? 
  E-Remit is a web based portal where customers can remit money to India through speedy transfers by online debit to their account with DBS/POSB/UOB/Citibank- members of the eNETS payment system.

Who can use this facility?    
  This facility can be used by all individuals who are Residents of Singapore like Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents / Employment Pass Holders / Work Permit holders. 
   
3.
What are the facilities provided by e-Remit? 
  You can apply for speedy transfers to State Bank group branches in India and also RTGS enabled branches of other commercial banks in India. For speedy remittances through e-remit, payment is to be made through the e-nets platform.
   
4.
How can I apply for this facility?   
 
  The documents to be brought along to the bank for the purpose of registration are
 
Photo identity document (NRIC/ Work Permit or Passport + EP/DP
Existing  residential address proof document (if the address is different from the address on photo identity document)

You can also register online at https://eremit.sbising.com/Public_Register.aspx   by submitting the above documents plus a recent copy of the DBS/POSB/UOB/Citi bank account statement in any of the following ways :
 
Scanning the documents to  remittance@sbising.com
Faxing the above copies at fax no. 6225 3348 and attention it to “Remittance Processing Cell”
Mailing the copies to the Remittance Officer, State Bank of India, Singapore at 135 Cecil Street, #04-00, Singapore 069536
Please be informed that you need to have an email account in order to register online.
On successful registration, an e-remit User ID and Password will be issued to you, which can be used for logging onto e-Remit for all future transactions.

Can I change my Personal details? 
  Yes, you have the option to change some of your personal details such as address, telephone number, email etc through the "Personal Details" option.

What if I forgot my password? 
  If you have forgotten your Password, please email our helpdesk at helpdesk@sbising.com

How can I use the e-Remit system? 
  You can log onto the e-Remit site using the USER ID and Password given at the time of registration. You will be prompted to change the Password on first login. Subsequent to change of password, the following options are available:

What is the use of the Branch Locator option? 
  The Branch Locator option allows you to search for SBI group branches and all NEFT enabled commercial banks of India.

What is the Transaction History option? 
  The Transaction History option allows you to view your last 10 successful transactions with the following details: 
 
Date of Transaction 
Beneficiary Name 
Beneficiary Branch Details 
Foreign Currency Amount

How does ‘Instant Transfer’ work? How do I make payment for the transaction? 
  Once you submit the application, the eNETS Payment Gateway Module enables you to make payment from your Savings Bank or Current Account in Singapore Dollar with one of the eNETS enabled Bank (DBS/POSB/UOB/Citibank) in Singapore. For such payments, you are required to use the Internet Banking USER ID and Password + Internet Banking Secure Pin provided to you by your eNETS Bank. After successful authorization of the transfer of fund by you, your account will be debited by the eNETS Bank and the transaction number will be generated by that Bank for your reference.

Can I debit an account other than a Singapore Dollar account with the eNETS Bank? 
  No.

What is the maximum amount of transaction that can be done in a day? 
  The maximum amount that can be transacted through eNETS is limited to SGD 25,000 per day, subject to the limit sanctioned to you by your eNETS bank for your Nets transaction. If your existing limit is inadequate, you can apply to your eNETS bank for enhancement of the limit subject to maximum of SGD25, 000 per day.

What is the time limit within which my beneficiary will be credited? 
  If beneficiary account is with SBI group, credits will be effected within 1 working day. If beneficiary account is with other banks, credits will be effected within 2 working days.
   
15.
How will I know the status of my remittance? 
  If beneficiary has an account with SBI, India, you will be notified through SMS.

What should I do if I encounter problems during e-Remit? 
   If you encounter any problems during your e-Remit session, please  contact our officials at the helpline numbers given on the website and they will be glad to help you solve the problem.

What can I do to ensure security of my e-Remit? 
   To ensure secure e-Remit, the following precautions are necessary: -

Remember your password: Your password is private information that should be kept to yourself. 
Change your password from time to time 
Format of Password: Password should be at least 6 characters long and subject to a maximum of 12 characters. The Password must be alphanumeric and requires a minimum of one alphabet and one numeral. Special characters are not acceptable. Avoid selecting simple or suggestive passwords like names of family members etc which can be easily speculated.
Remember to Logout: After your session, it is important to log out by choosing the logout option to terminate the session. As an additional safety measure, the browser window may be closed after logout to prevent the use of Back button to view your accounts. 
Do not leave your PC unattended during login sessions.
